You did not say, but if you are running macOS Sequoia, then this may be due to a bug that can be fixed as follows:
1. Open VO Utility, and select the Verbosity category. 2. Now, select the Text tab, and navigate to the item labeled “Read Numbers As”, and select Words from the popup menu. This fixes a similar issue in the Mac Mail app, and hopefully it will also do the same in Pages.
