HEy. I had same issue. Had the same issue issue. I talked to Apple accessibility, reinstalled operating system, and then used a signed person to reset VO settings. Still not work. Next, I was told to to check soudnoutput to ensure it is s et to the speakers on computer. That it worked. No help. Finally, I was told to try going totality and adding Alex as my voice. I was using Samantha. A miracle. It all works fine now! Let me know if it works for you.
