Hi Donna: I can explain the messiness and I do apologize for it. It is my bad.
My mail editor is set to ISO8859-1 rather than UTF. When 8859 doesn't recognize a character entity (lika smart quote or smart apostrophe), it messes up the text translation. I have been thinking I should revisit my reasons for still using 8859--but that's yet another story. I'm aware you can take videos and still images without talking. But, I'd like to map the image description, or the "what am I holding" command to those buttons and/or swipe gestures. It's the AI function I'd like to map into those buttons. Have you gone to that point with these glasses? I'm also aware the situations when one can reasonably talk to a device have increased. Everyone is talking to various boxes these days. I'm fine talking to my devices in a restaurant. However, there are still many situations where that isn't acceptable, e.g. during a church service or during a performance at the Metropolitan Opera at Lincoln Center.
