Thanks for this pointer, Brad. Fully disabling the touch pad has been a Windows feature for years. Not having it on Macbook has had me very frustrated. I'm tired of trying to always remember to hold my wrists up at what is for me an unaturally high level.
Here's what I'm finding in the Commands category of the VoiceOver Utility: There's an checkbox: "Also control Voice Over with Trackpad." I've unchecked that. The next category is a submenu called: "Also control VoiceOver with: Trackpad Options." Strange wording, but that's a digression ... In there I find "Ignore Trackpad when VoiceOver is on." I've checked that. Regretably, the Trackpad isn't fully disabled after all that. Am I missing something? PS: Perhaps this will still be enough. I'm mostly concerned for unintended touches. Those seem to be much less likely in my few minutes of testing so far.
