Hi Michael and everyone.
While I do appreciate the kind sentiment, there is a reason why I asked
specifically about this film.
Audio description is generally equally available here, Canadian theaters
are a part of the same distribution network.
We likewise tend to get far more access to some titles with description
only available via streaming down there for you, but I digress.
It is rather rare for an apple TV plus film to only be available u. s.
audio description, wise, so much so that I am likely going to ask Apple
directly.
Anora, as an independent film, to the best of my awareness, did not say
provide description in theaters, at least according to the ACB audio
description project.
Speaking personally, I am more likely to seek a solution than forego the
service entirely, not that I have subscribed yet.
Still, I hoped to learn if this is a more common pattern, as shared it
seems far more like the exception, not the rule.
Thanks,
Karen

Hello Karen and everybody else this is Mike from Oklahoma. I would say if
things don’t change and the descriptive part isn’t available in your area, I
would strongly encourage you not to subscribe to Apple TV+. If the audio
description isn’t available in your area, I would always think of it is Apple
TV minus. It turns out the audio description is available in the US, which is
wonderful. But, I think it also needs to be available to people in Canada like
yourself Karen and it should probably also be available to people in Mexico,
like your Gerardo and others that may want to Use it. Again, I would say if I
description isn’t available in your area, I would not be subscribing to Apple
TV+. I only subscribe to it here because audio description is available.

Hi Folks,
Anora, last night's best picture Oscar winner, is available with audio
description from apple TV plus, but apparently this does not extend to
Canadians?
Friend of mine is hosting a screening, and wanted to accommodate me, finding
the u. s. option, but not one for Canada.
is this common?
Will impact how I arrange my subscription, when I reach that point for certain.
Thanks for thoughts,
Karen
