You can do both at the same time. I’ve found myself needing to do this at times when needing to demonstrate an inaccessible mobile web site for work, and in needing to do this, when taking a video of my phone’s screen with my ray-bans, I lose Voiceover’s audio, so this is the only way to fix it.
