I have been using the 16 Pro since it was released in September, and have not
experienced any of the issues you describe.
I would suggest that you make sure VoiceOver Recognition is disabled, and only
use it when necessary to access a 3rd party app.

Hello again, my name is Roni Mathew. My sincere apologies, but I am uncertain
if my post to the whole group had been received yesterday.
I wish to ask if you have any suggestions on my shocking situation with upgrade
to iPhone 16Pro, and the systemic, and Voiceover disfunction I am encountering.

Here's my dilemma:

I just purchased an iPhone 16 Pro with a new service carrier. I am
recognizing more that this phone has significant software/hardware interference
or something that makes it very difficult to access and use at all, especially
with Voiceover.

1. When the phone locks, I am not able to enter any characters into the
password edit box. The "Swipe up to unlock" prompt is beside the password
field. The only work-around is force-restarting.

2. Voiceover navigation frequently gets stuck on random controls, so navigating
and performing any function short of closing the program and re-launch is not
possible.

3. The status bar, with the new "dynamic island" is a monumental nuisance that
intrusively interrupts any task and the flow of what I try doing. One
notification in the middle of my work, and up pops the "dynamic island empty"
message, and persistent, stuck status bar. This is compounded by the
voiceover cursor never remaining in the same spot in 3rd party apps, if one
navigates away from the entry app.

4. Related to this, when trying to dictate keyboard input for text messages or
other input, the dynamic island and "Microphone in use" prompt seems to disable
dictation, while trying to give some monitor of activity going on.
This erratic behavior recurs even after I restart, force-update, or even do a
full restore of the phone followed by ICLOUD backup restore.

Has anyone experienced this?
Thank you once again for your time and consideration. I am extremely
disappointed having spent over 1000.00 financed of course for this phone.
Should have left well-enough alone with my 13Pro, but cannot imaging this being
the only state of the art right now. There's got to be a fix..

God bless and thanks. .

Songs view is the only one that works reliably now. Use that in combination
with the column browser and filter field to get to what you want. It's an arse,
but there we are. Apple broke it, just like they broke the command-option-arrow
keystrokes.
