Hi there, I Use parallels, and have a keyboard maestro macro that switches my caps lock and turns it into an insert key whenever I have parallels in focus. When I exit parallels or command tab out of parallels, my capslock key becomes a caps key available to macOS again. Download the Macro group here <https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/s05wqgy5foagmncj5bn48/Windows-Switching-Macros.kmmacros?rlkey=n9ij4j9y9cwr4rzzlfq9l7lrg&dl=1> I’ve also gone into the parallels preferences, accessed shortcuts, and then made macOS shortcuts always available to the virtual machine. This means, my key strokes work like they should in windows as windows key strokes.
One last thing, in my windows, virtual machine I’ve leveraged sharpkeys <https://github.com/randyrants/sharpkeys> and swapped the windows and alt keys. Then, pressing command tab when in a virtual machine will perform the alt tab command you might expect. Also, to get back to Mac, press and hold the control option keys for a matter of seconds, and then you should be able to use command tab to get back into macOS. NOTE: accessibility of parallels as software on the Mac leaves a lot to be desired. I would not be able to do any of this without leveraging a tool like VOCR <https://github.com/chigkim/VOCR> or cited assistance. One set up, though, those tools aren’t necessarily needed. Hope all of this helps. Best Michael - KJ7PAZ Payown Media, LLC I work remotely and may respond outside typical business hours.
