According to a presentation given last year that I recently listened to online, work is underway to enable the Monarch to support screen readers - including VoiceOver. Of course, we won’t know whether this effort is successful until it’s announced, and the development work may take a while yet, assuming good cooperation between HumanWare and Apple. It’s also clear that, at this stage, the Monarch is expected to be purchased or subsidized by grants or other funding sources. Its developers are fully aware that many users couldn’t afford the full cost on their own.

Humanware Monarch I don't recall all your requirements, but I expect the Monarch will revolutionize refreshable braille. Yes, it's pricy; but so was the first OCR reader back in the 1980s. Now OCR is a give-away commodity on every device we have. It's hard to argue with multiline display, and it's hard to argue with the opportunity for braille graphics, imo.
