Anne,

It's always nice to get even more than one asks for.

Thanks
Linda

Hello Linda,

Command-W closes a window. On the Mac, you can close all the windows in
an application but still have the application running.

Command-Tab will cycle through all open applications, and Command-Accent
sign will cycle through the windows of the front application.

If you are in the Finder, Command-Accent Sign will take you through the
open windows, one of which will be the Desktop.

Other useful standard shortcuts are:
Command-Shift-A takes you to the Applications folder; Command-Shift-U
takes you to the Utilities folder; Command-Shift-H takes you to your
Home folder; Command-Shift-O takes you to your Documents folder;
Command-Shift-D takes you to your Desktop folder.

These commands all work from the Finder.

In any given application, the shortcuts are shown at the end of each
menu item.

Cheers,

Anne
