Hey Pete,

The iOS app is fine, but you need to learn how to make the incrementing more granular.

However, if you have a macOS computer, I would recommend audacity. It has several features that make what you want to do much simpler. For example, you can go into the menus And you can select one of the options that will allow you to take out long pauses within the audio file. Unfortunately can’t, I can’t remember exactly which item that would be but it is obvious once you have the program and menu is open.

Hi all,

I’m looking for ideas about the best way to edit voice memos so you can eliminate long pauses or other unwanted content. If I go into the Voice Memos app > Edit recording in either OS, VO gets me into the slider where I can mark beginning and ending of what I want, but either swiping or using a keyboard jumps a few seconds at a time, so I can’t seem to be able to get to a particular place to mark. I’m guessing that either Voice Memos isn’t the ideal solution, or perhaps I can get VO to navigate the slider more precisely. I’m sure others have tackled this type of thing, so any ideas on either using Voice Memos, or I bet there’s probably a much better ap that could help me out.

Thanks, in advance, for any thoughts,

Pete De Vasto
