Hi, I switch between using braille screen input and an external braille display for typing. I sometimes hear the message keyboard visible and very occasionally my keyboard disappears. I haven't had to turn bluetooth off and back on but I do reboot my phone on probably a weekly basis for other reasons. With issues like this, it never hurts to restart the phone and probably takes less than a minute to do.
