Okay, got it fixed. Basically copied the specific files from a Time Machine backup and got them back. Wich there was a similar way to fix the rules.
BTW has anyone figured out a simple step-by-step way to use Time Machine to do this? I had to resort to opening the sp sparsebundle file itself and digging it out that way.
