Guys,

I was in the habit of using VO Activities to essentially switch between English
and Portuguese as a means of learning the language. When trying to memorize
translations by reading a Numbers spreadsheet with English and Portuguese words
in adjacent columns, it was convenient to switch between English and PT voices
this way. It’s been a while since I used this method.

When I tried this today, I first noticed that my activities were switching
between Ava, my default voice, and Samantha, a voice which has no business
being in this mix at all.

I had an hour long session with accessibility Support during which I was asked
to add and remove and re-add voices and activities. Now, weirdly enough, I
can’t seem to assign a voice to an activity. All my voices seem to respond to
whatever is in the Rotor. Further, I’m having problems changing the speed at
which my two voices speak. It appears as though I can’t be sure which voice
rate I’m changing. Ava seems to be stuck at one particular rate, while Joanna
seems to fluctuate with up or down arrows. I am hopelessly confused.

Can anyone help?

While I will “subscribe” to this thread, please make an effort to include me by
replying to author if you can.

Best,
Kevin
