you can register without a account. This can be done one of two ways. Either, search for a free app and click get, then when it asks you to register, go through the process. There will be a none, selection visible on the credit card page, you need to select it. Or, use a redeeming itunes voucher to purchase something and register that way. It is possible. I promise.
