No, this is not a Gmail account. Nor is it an iCloud account. It's a
self-maintained email account from a company that lets you roll your
own, called Namecheap. I get five email addresses and some file storage
space if I want a Website (which I don't). I use it primarily for
registering my domain and the five emailboxes. Since it's roll-your-own,
you, the customer, are responsible for everything, including proper
backup and maintenance. I'm always quite careful about both. This
message on which I pressed Shift+CMD+A was of little to no import, but
I'm just curious as to what the heck happened to it. I haven't had a
chance to mess around with finding out more, but I will.

If you use gmail, the message you have lost should be in the allmail or archive
folder. Do a search if you remember the subject or what it might be about or
from whom it came.

Before I sent my original message, I did try that. It did not undo anything.
What does command plus shift plus A actually do?

While reading mail on my map yesterday, I wanted to archive a message. I
reached for the correct keystroke, command+option+a, but I accidentally hit
command+shift+a. The message disappeared, but where did it go? What is this
mystery keystroke? I looked through all the menus but couldn’t find one.
