Actually, I would not do this because it will sort all items by type, not just 
the folders..
I suggest that you sort your folders by Name, in Ascending order.
Then, open Finder preferences using CMD + Comma, then select the advanced tab, 
and navigate to the item labeled Keep folders on top, and make sure the item 
labeled "In windows when sorting by name”, is selected.
This will make it so that your folders appear on top of the list, in 
alphabetical and Ascending order, with all other items sorted alphabetically 
below.

The setting your missing is select sort by kind, its a drop down, pop up, 
whatever you want to call it. Select sort by kind, then name, and your folders 
will be on top and in alphabetical order.
