Pete,

Your progress reports are very encouraging. My attempts with Parallels a couple
years ago were complete failures. Once you get this up and running, would you
please make a simple tutorial on the steps you followed to get there? I think
it would help me and others a whole lot to get through this. For me, it’s
always been a mystery.

Hello all,

I’m trying to install Sharpkeys into my Windows VM machine on Parallels. I’ve
downloaded it from the Microsoft Store, but every time I try to run the .exe
file I get a “Microsoft Store” prompt that looks like it wants me to do
something, but can’t respond to it. So SharpKeys doesn’t get installed. Running
the latest PD version and a Windows ARM VM. If anyone has Sharpkeys running in
their Parallels machines, could you let me know how you got it there?

I feel as though I’m making good progress here: The VM comes up reliably,
running in full screen mode. I can go back and forth between Mac OS and my VM
pretty reliably. I’ve also gone into the parallels preferences, accessed
shortcuts, and then made macOS shortcuts always available to the virtual
machine.

Once I can get Sharpkeys installed, what I’d next like to tackle is to see if I
can have V O turned off when I go into Parallels, then back on when I go back
to Mac OS. I think I can do a V O activity for that but not sure. Then I want
to look into connecting USB devices, and I thought I read somewhere you can do
that in Mac OS System Settings, and even specify if a particular device can
only connect to Windows rather than both OS’s.

I’ll keep sending updates if anyone is interested, otherwise I’ll just ask
questions if/when they come up.
Thanks,
Pete De Vasto
