VGA is an analog signal so it will lose something in translation.
Depending on the model of mini there should be a DVI and/or display-port
video connection. So you just need a cable that has DVI on one end and
HDMI oon the other. I didn't try it with a mini but the a MacBook Pro
there is a DVI port on the side which worked just fine on my parents HD
tv last time I was out to visit them. Their TV came with a DVI to HDMI
cable so we plugged it in to find out what would happen and it just
worked. Apple sells a 1.8m Belkin HDMI to DVI cable for $20 or 3.6m for $30.

I'm a bit confused,
I could be wrong but, to my knowledge, Macs don't even support HDMI. On a mac
mini, all you need is a VGA connector.

Thanks Wes and Charlie. Forgive my ignorance, obviously I require a HDMI
cable, how do I connect it to the mini, does it have a HDMI connection on it.
I have next to know experience with cable connections.
PS, I really like your signature Charlie.

Is it possible to connect a Mac mini to a HD TV, and have the mini recognize the TV as a monitor, so VoiceOver will be happy? The TV has a VGA and a HDMI connection. It may have others, but I'm not sure what they are yet.
