Hello: You can make the Mac produce an accent mark, an acute accent, as it were, by holding down the options key, second to the left of the spacebar, and tapping the e. Then you release both and type the vowel you want accented. So for example: e accent would be options-e then e. For n tilde, just hit options-n for inverted exclamation and inverted question marks, just type options-exclaim or options-question. I hope this is useful. Rebecca
