Hi Donna,
Sorry, my bad for the typo. Yes, I mean context menu (VO-Shift-M). If
you're in the songs table and want to add tracks to a playlist, select
the track or tracks you want before you bring up the context menu. To
add the present track, use VO-Shift-M. To add all the tracks, select
all with Command-A before you use VO-Shift-M. To add a block of 10
tracks from your first track, hold down the shift key and press your
down arrow 9 times, then use VO-Shift-M. (You can also highlight non-
contiguous selections, but let's not get into that now.) Remember to
interact with the songs table before you make your selection. You
want to use the menu item "Add to Playlist", and if you right arrow
from the selection the submenu contains a list of your existing
playlists.

Hi Esther,
I'm a little confused. You say "Context Menu, VO-m. Do you mean
the context menu, or the regular menu. When I press VO-m, the only
option i have for add is add to library. When I press VO-Shift-m, I
don't see any context menu at all.
Thanks,
Donna

Hi Donna,
Two ways to add songs to an existing playlist:
1. Highlight some selections you want to add in the songs table and
use the context menu (VO-M), then press "A" for "Add to Playlist",
Right arrow to the sub-menu, and either arrow down or type the
first few letters of the name of the playlist you want to add these
songs to.
2. Copy your highlighted selections in the songs table with Command-
C, then navigate to the sources table and paste them into the
playlist you want with Command-V. This takes makes you navigate
outside your songs table, but you may find it more intuitive. You
can use VO-J to jump between the songs table and the sources table
(for your selected library or playlist of highlighted songs to add)
and then navigate to the playlist you want to add to. This method
also works to manually add tracks to an iPhone or iPod -- you just
paste the selections onto the device in the sources table. (Note:
at the present time you must paste tracks from playlists onto the
device, you can't paste the playlists themselves. If you want to
manually add playlists to to an iPhone or iPod, you'd have to do
that in the sources table with VoiceOver's drag and drop onto the
device, which is more complicated.)

Hi all,
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but how does one add additional
songs to an existing playlist? I've been through the help files,
but can't seem to find this info.
TIA,
Donna
