Still kind of sad since it's not needed anymore and just causes
problems. Seems like Google would be better than most about this, but I
guess not.

Hello chris,
I've found them in a few places besides ads on google products. For
example, on google voice, your contacts is displayed in a frame. It
is quite frustrating to use actually. The help also appears in a
frame I believe. Its been a while since I've use these sites on my
windows machine so I'm not sure how the screenreaders on that OS
handles them.

I'm not on gmail or google voice. Are these for ads? Generally that's
the only place I've encountered frames, at least on modern pages.

Have you been to gmails 'site lately? Plenty of frames there. There are a few
on the google voice page as well

Does anyone use frames anymore except to serve ads? Really kind of an
old-school way to assemble page content in light of server-side includes and
client-side Ajax or JSON.

Hello everyone.
I have a question for you all that I'm asking on behalf of the web team for my
college.
I'm wondering why frames according to a windows screen reader are labeled but
when I visit the same page on a mac, the frame is unlabelled?
Thanks for any answers or hypotheses.
