I have also experienced a reduction in audio and I would say the reduction is about 50%. I have not found a solution to the problem, but I am going to try to contact VMWare about this issue. This issue could pose a really big problem for me at work where I do not have a mixer I can crank up to compensate for the audio reduction. If I learn anything, I will let you all know.
