I'm involved with Waves in a project to fix access for their entire line of plugs. There stuff isn't the most affordable, but it is very high quality. The access improvements will help in Pro Tools, but will also be just as useful for anyone using them in GarageBand, Logic, or Windows DAWs like Sonar. The public won't have these improvements for probably close to half a year, but the end result should be very good. To some extent, due to how Pro Tools uses synth and effects plug ins, most of the Waves plug ins will work right away, just not as good as they will work in the future.

Another is to navigate through tracks and setting the individual controls as needed. For the most part, plug-ins are accessible including third party plug-ins.
