Hello, Mac peeps.
This post might be a bit of a stretch topic-wise for the list, but I hope
not.

I have a 13-inch Macbook Pro that I purchased last December. It has a 500gb
hd, and the processor is either 2.53 or 3.16. (2.53 I think.) At any rate,
my hd has already been replaced once--less than two months ago. After a
couple hours this morning of working in Logic and GB--including setting up a
manual control surface with the help of a tutor at the Apple Store--I
brought my computer home, connected it to charger, speakers, and control
surface, and found that the ITroll who resides in my computer has awakened
from slumber. The computer plays the "turning on" chord, the hard drive
spins, and after about 30 seconds, it dies.

I can't do anything about the computer until tomorrow, but I'm just curious
if perhaps VO is maxing out more resources than I'm aware of? Or if I'm
somehow handling my Mac poorly? Or if I've just been completely unlucky?
Thanks for any thoughts.
Ginny
