Hi,

Actually, in some windows like the Voiceover Utility dialog, you can actually 
just hit VO-FN-left/right arrow. If you want to use the Shift key in all 
windows to make sure you get to the top, though, just use your right hand to 
hold the shift key like I'm doing.

I feel mostly  safe using the shift key along with the combination mentioned 
above, but sometimes I'll use the other one and switch between them. I haven't 
noticed much of a difference, except sometimes I hit the close button when 
using the shift key and sometimes I don't.
