Hi Carolyn, The only thing I can think of and it's a longshot is that the USB plug does not have a driver or something that the Mac recognizes. THe way I paste things on to my stream is through a card reader I purchased from Amazon. It's a Kingston and it cost $12 from amazon. I don't know if this helps. I can't imagine why the Mac would have trouble working with the stream.
