I also would submit it depends on what type of editing you want to do. Fission, which is also made by Rogue Ameba (makers of Audio Hijack) will do some basic editing, such as cutting sections from the file. There are a number of other features, but this is what I primarily have used the program for. This is just another option for your consideration.
