Sometimes it's a matter of circomstances... For example, I once upon a time took an online course for the blind. I had me a copy of windows xp pro from the machine that died and was replaced by my mac. At this time, we were using a ventrillo server to attend classes and the windows version worked better than the mac one. I also had iwork 08 which had not been made accessible, so at the time and for that place a vm running the hated os, with some slightly dated third party access solution fit the need for that time and place.
