Ok all. Here is my method of deleting podcasts on the iphone. Not sure where else this works in the ipod app but yeah.
1. from within the ipod app navigate to the podcast button and double tap. 2. Now browse to the podcast such as market place, or car talk for example. 3. find the episode you want to delete, double tap and hold then swipe very slowly to the right. it should take you no more then 2 seconds to do this. Now check and it should say confirm deletion of xxxxxxx where xxxxxxx is your episode name. 4. double tap that episode and it is gone.
