Hi, I copy dropbox links by pressing vo-shift-m. That will take you to a context menu, then arrow down to where it says dropbox submenu, then press right arrow on that. Once inside the dropbox submenu, the very bottom choice, I think is copy public link. But the file you copy the link to will have to be in the public folder or it won't work.
