just installed Windows 7 under Bootcamp on my Macbook Pro 13. For the most
part, all is well except for a small, though rather annoying oddity with the
sound driver. I initially noticed it because I wasn't hearing my Windows
startup sound, and wondering why Windows was taking so long to boot. After a
little poking around and googling, it turns out that there's a weirdness
with the sound driver shipping with current versions of Bootcamp. it
apparently mutes sound at startup, or maybe a better way to describe it is
that it doesn't unmute sound until after the system has started and the
first few initial sounds would have already played.
At any rate, does anyone have a workaround for this, or a different driver
that will work, etc?

Thanks a lot for any info,
