Hi Sonia,
There're two ways. 1. the device has the number written on the underside.
2. TRhe authenthicate code is given in the reading material. For example:
the HumanWare Braillleconnect devices and the brailliant devices use 1234 as
their paring code.

Are you near an Apple Store? I went to one today and we paired my braille
display with the iphone 4. So look under options, u for user guide and
