Hi all,
Unfortunately , this is not a bug in the magic trackpad since I can't do this 
also with the multi-touch trackpad that's built-in my macbook.
 But anyway, you can report this ofcourse because it should be possible to 
enable the router in group-mode.
You have also the same experience when you turn quick-nav on and use the 
rotor-functions with left/right+up arrow.
