Actually, same here. I only got into the recording by accident, but since these guys were asking about it I explored the menus. Pretty easy to do. On the iPad it's slightly easier to find, since there's a "Rec underscore icon" at the left side key controls. Just look under the "Loop" menu at the top right corner for the controls for recording.
