All: I posted about not being able to read a dialog box that was on the screen. I had a sighted person look. It was a message from Carbon Copy cloner asking me to choose which disk I wanted to backup. I'd accidentally scheduled an automatic backup task, and the external hd wasn't connected. The weird thing is that CCC wasn't shown as running in the doc, and none of the open apps, windows, or bring the current window forward commands would read that dialog box. A sighted person had to click the skip button to clear the message.
