Quick and simple.

In finder:
1. command-N (new window)
2. command-shift-C (View computer)
3. command-F (search)

Once you put some search items into the search screen you will find
check box options on how to search. One of these should be to limit
the search to the selected item.

Note: there is a good chance that step #1 above is not necessary.
