Hi! You can encrypt your e-mail securely via Apple Mail by obtaining a free security certificate. The steps are fairly easy, really, and all you have to do is to hit Command-O on the downloaded certificate. http://www.instantssl.com/ssl-certificate-products/free-email-certificate.html
It will import the certificate into Keychain when opening the file, and that should be all you have to do. The steps outlined in the application are easy.
