Hi Scott, I use the Keyspan Serial to USB adapter. I have never used it on the Mac, but I have used it with the BrailleNote and Window-Eyes. You can purchase this on Amazon for about $28. The adapter I use is Keyspan High Speed USB Serial Adapter I hope this helps.
