Have you noticed this slowness with other wireless devices, have you tried connecting directly to the router via an ethernet cable, or have you perhaps tried disabling the WPA encryption as a test? It is difficult to diagnose this type of problem if you have not tried some of the steps I have mentioned. You have to determine if it is the machine, network, or ISP.
