Hi Nektarios and all.  First thing, welcome to the list, Nektarios!  I hope you 
find this list as helpful as I have so far.  I am new to the mac too, only 
having had mine less than a week now.  Thankfully, I feel like I have made very 
good progress, owing to some very useful podcasts, google and this list.  I 
also appreciated the information concerning the shortcuts for checking the time 
and battery level.  I am also experiencing some difficulty with Skype.  Like 
you, I needed to move my Skype to the applications folder manually, but am 
still having problems connecting to the network.  So I guess my own question 
is, if we already have a newer version that has known issues, what is the 
recommended method of removing the new version and replacing it with the older 
copy?  I realize many applications can simply be sent to the trash, but are 
there still existing libraries out there that may cause a conflict?  Like I 
said, I am still very new to the mac myself, and therefore am still fumbling my 
way along. :-)
