Hi, First, turn on the shortcut for mouse keys. This way, you'll be able to turn mouse keys on and off by pressing option 5 times. Now, go into iTunes and route the mouse to the VO cursor. Turn the mouse keys on, hold option and press numpad 5 to click. That worked for me. > From: [email protected] > Subject: Selecting the location of iphone firmware when restoring > Date: Mon, 25 Oct 2010 20:27:42 -0400 > To: [email protected] > > Hi all, > WHen you select the restore button in itunes, your computer contacts Apple to > download the firmware you'll need. I already have an isw file, and I'd like > to restore to that one instead of the file I would be getting from Apple's > server. I did some research on how to supposedly do this on the mac, and > everything I read says that when you hold down the option key and then hit > the restore button, a dialogue should pop up asking for the location of your > firmware. I have tried holding down vo-space and releasing the option key > last, routing the VO cursor to the restore button and holding down option > while clicking the mouse on my macbook pro, and option-clicking with trackpad > commander on. I have not been able to get the location dialogue to pop up. > Has anyone had success doing this with VO? > My apologies if this topic has already been covered. > Rose > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "MacVisionaries" group. > To post to this group, send email to [email protected]. > To unsubscribe from this group, send email to > [email protected]. > For more options, visit this group at > http://groups.google.com/group/macvisionaries?hl=en. >
