I use Handbrake. Just google it, and it should come up with the latest version. By and large, the default settings should work for you. You also have to have VLC on your system, because it has the proper codec to decode the DVD into the format you're looking for. Just play around with the settings a little bit, and you should figure it all out. it's really quite self-explanatory.
