Hi Marlena, Fusion is a program which allows you to create, among other things, a virtual Windows machine which you can run side by side with OSX on your Mac. I only recently got a copy myself, so I am unable to give you a detailed explanation of the program, but you can also use it to create virtual machines running various flavors of Unix or Linux.
