My Macbook Pro15 has a few times now *NOT* gone to sleep when the lid was put down. I can't find any prefs controlling lid behavior anywhere (I'm running all up-to-date Snow Leopard and apps); where might it be? The computer gets a bit warm when it's trying to run with the lid shut...
