Why is that a bad thing, you need access to your device. I don't want my driver to have to mash that buttons, that's something I as the car owner and user want access to and don't want to have to use a 3rd party. I'm actually shopping for a new ride and am going to get one with the whole entertainment system interface in the back seat so I don't have to use a remote or have the driver make the adjustments.
