Hi Teresa, If you are using the preview pane you can press tab and the message is often read. I should mention that I turned off the option to automatically interact when pressing tab, hence am not interacting with the message table. If the email is not read you can interact via the two finger flick right. While interacting you can skim read by moving your finger down quickly or commence reading further down. More over you can double tap over links to activate them.
