I found this yesterday night happening in the facebook apps chat. (I'm in
South Africa, UTC + 2 hours)
Tried double tap and holding, no go. Had to back out of my chat window and
go back to get the keyboard back.

Hello. I am not up to date yet but try double tapping and holding an edit
field until you hear the triple rising tone and let up on it. the keyboard
should come back. This applies to bt keyboards as well.
