ok, a 32 bit OS will not be able to properly address a 2 TB drive without some special drivers or perhaps making the cluster sizes (in windows) overly large (in order to keep the cluster count within the supported addressable range). I am not sure what OS X uses for this as I have never had to put more than a 60GB drive in my machine.
