I'm not sure what the situation was like a couple years ago, but I think iTunes 
always allowed people to burn their music onto a CD, if maybe only a limited 
number of times. However, as of January 2009, iTunes removed drm protection 
from all of the music that they sell. You can burn your Music to CD, transfer 
it to any computer or portable player that you have, or convert it from the 
original m4a format to mp3. There is no longer any restriction. See this
